DESE Parent Informational Meeting & NEARI PAC Meeting
NEARI School is currently participating in our Mid-Cycle Accreditation Review with the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) and the Office of Approved Special Education Schools (OASES). This review is a routine component of the state’s oversight process for approved special education schools like NEARI, focusing on program quality, compliance and continuous improvement. As part of our Mid-Cycle Review process, we wanted to inform you that DESE will host a Parent Informational Meeting for families and guardians of students currently enrolled at NEARI. During this session, DESE staff will explain the purpose of the review, outline timelines and expectations and answer general questions about monitoring procedures.

Time: 4-6pm
Hybrid option for the PAC meeting will be available, Zoom link to follow the morning of.
The PAC provides families and guardians with an opportunity to hear updates, ask questions, and share feedback about school programming and initiatives. Your voice is an important part of our continued growth and improvement.
