This review is a routine component of the state’s oversight process for approved special education schools like NEARI, focusing on program quality, compliance and continuous improvement. As part of our Mid-Cycle Review process, we wanted to inform you that DESE will host a Parent Informational Meeting for families and guardians of students currently enrolled at NEARI. During this session, DESE staff will explain the purpose of the review, outline timelines and expectations and answer general questions about monitoring procedures.
